Masterson’s Pub , located in the heart of Moonee Ponds , advertises itself as a stylish, alternative venue , but my most recent experience at this establishment became a nightmarish ordeal . While the bar may look welcoming at first glance , what I discovered behind its entrance was disgraceful and unfit for any venue.
The State of Affairs: Grimy and Abandoned
From the moment I walked in , it was clear that hygiene was not a priority at this venue. The floors were sticky , and a pungent odor of uncleaned spills and dirty bathrooms permeated the entire pub. Reeking of a mixture of human waste, putrefaction and sour vomit . The main bar, which should be the centerpiece of any pub, was littered with unwashed glassware and trash that looked like it hadn’t been touched in ages . For a business that offers beverages , these issues are completely unacceptable and raise serious concerns about the quality of the food and drinks .
